On October, 16th, 2021, we began the arduous process of removing the roof from the Shamrock. A dozen Route 66 volunteers from all over the United States descended onto the site to make preparations for the roofing crews.

The old gutters, soffit, and fascia / dormer boards were removed. They will be replaced as part of the process. It was a highly demanding project that made us all proud to be a part of a resurrection that will historic in of itself.

Donations for the project poured in from all over the world. This is a landmark of Route 66 that people adore. We appreciate the labor and funding provided. Without it, this could not have happened.
